(Steam)Trains were an important step in the evolution of transportation. Created this artwork for Magicka's event called "Looking in the Past".

I couldn't resist to design something with the powerfull train as the main object. I did some research into old advertisements to learn more from the typography and which base colors were used for them.

Created in Illustrator and applied some textures in Photoshop.

ZOMG! My grandpa loves trains!!

I used to too when I was little

He used to have his own room in our garage and we used to call it his "Train Room" because he had literally a whole village in their with all these trains. He had put like a table against the walls (I can't explain what it was really) and I used to crawl under it, and come out from a whole he had made and I used to look at all the trainsXD

Anyway, Awesome picture! The train looks so real!
